The Black Diamond Run

As many of you know 21 years ago I was skiing on the black diamond run, crashed and messed up my ankle. Well actually I guess that is not exactly the truth - in reality I slipped on a patch of ice in our driveway and messed up my ankle, but the ski trip sounds alot more exciting don't you think? Anyway my ankle has been giving me alot of grief so I went in yesterday and had a MRI and then went to see the doctor this morning to find out that I have severe arthritis and a torn ligament. Now I get to go see a surgeon. I have decided that turning the wonderful age of 29 (oops, sorry Dave I forgot that I turned 30 this year since I can't be the same age as you) is the pits!

Victoria, British Columbia

Thanks to my awesome daughter I am now a part of the blogging world! So to start off my blogging days I thought I would share the events of this last week. Last Wednesday Rob and I left for Victoria, British Columbia for the Wright Express Financial Services annual off site board meeting. We were surrounded for three days by some distinguished people, had some terrific food and saw some gorgeous scenery, including the beautiful Butchart Gardens that had an area that looked like how I pictured the Garden of Eden to look. After the board meeting was over Rob and I flew to Seattle and spent the weekend. Our hotel was located near Pike's Market Place (and had a beautiful view from the roof top restaurant) so we had a lot of fun strolling though the market. If you haven't been to Seattle you really must go - I think it is a romantic city with the Space Needle and the Puget Sound all around you (plus I love the movie Sleepless in Settle). At Pikes Market they had the most amazing flowers and my sweet husband bought me a beautiful bouquet to bring home (yes you can bring a live bouquet on the airplane)!
