A Southern Shrimp Boil

This year the entire family went to Alabama the end of July to visit with my fam and we had a great time.  We were there for nine days and we did alot of.....eating!!  The South truly has some of the best food.

We started our first day off with a shrimp boil courtesy of my brother, who works in the Gulf.  He brought fresh shrimp home that were to die for!!

He added the shrimp to some red potatoes, sausage and corn on the cob....

...put them all together in a big pot with Cajun seasoning and what you end up with is called "heaven"!!  

 Of course all this was done outside with the temperatures in the 90's and the humidity in the 90's also!!

 You can tell that everyone is hot, sweaty.....

 ...and enjoying there visit with aunts, uncles and cousins.



And if you are wondering where Cooper is....well this is where he stayed the entire evening -  on the mule (and often he was able to persuade someone - thanks T-Todd and Hollis -  to take him for a ride on it).
